Our Body Control Pilates classes are suitable for all fitness levels and all age groups, 16 +. Exercises can be made more difficult or adapted for those with specific issues, for example osteoporosis or recovering from injury or operations. The small numbers in classes ensures that all clients are given individual attention and can progress at their own pace. Classes concentrate on natural alignment and stability with exercises, both freestanding and mat-based to create strength and flexibility

Group (Face to Face) Class Information

Clothing should be comfortable and non-restrictive. All equipment including mats, is provided by Taw Valley Pilates and classes have a maximum of 12 clients, are one hour in length and run weekly. Classes are currently £8 a session when booked and paid for as a course, to guarantee your place in our weekly classes. Courses are run during school term times so can be between 5 and 7 weeks long and are payable in advance. A confidential enrolment form must be completed prior to attending our classes. Our policy is that refunds are not given for missed classes, however numbers permitting and with notice, you are welcome to make this up at another time on the same course. Missed classes cannot be rolled over to another course. Our visitor rate is £10 a class but booking is essential as most classes are fully booked

Online (Zoom) Class Information

Our online classes are run on Zoom around our live group class timetable. These were set up in March 2020 for our North Devon client base and are now open to all our previous clients who came to Pilates at Stratford Pilates Centre. These classes will continue indefinitely and as for regular classes, clothing should be comfortable and non-restrictive. We suggest using an iPad, Mac or iPhone and choosing a quiet space at home to open out your mat five minutes prior to a class. A head cushion and stretch band are also important, with over-ball and yoga block being optional. Other technical information on class access is available upon booking. All Online classes are currently £7 a session when booked and paid for as a course, to guarantee your place in our weekly classes. Our visitor / one-off rate is £9 a class. Courses are run during school term times so can be between 5 and 7 weeks long and are payable in advance. A confidential enrolment form must be completed prior to attending our online classes
